Charlie Branch, Jr.

Charlie “Pete” Branch, Jr. 78 passed away early Thursday morning, November 21, 2013 at Silas Creek Manor. A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Branch officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel before the service and other times at the home. Charlie was born in Forsyth County October 11, 1935 to Charlie Branch, Sr. and Tessie Childress Branch. He served in the US Army and retired from RJR. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.C. Branch; sisters, Irene Harp, Bernell Sides and Betty Hammock. Surviving are his wife of 59 years Phyllis Sapp Branch of the home, two sons, Mark Branch (Winter), Chuck Branch and companion Melissa Eaton all of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Kelly Poole and companion Gary Davis of Lexington, Carla Templeton (Joel) of Axton, VA; a brother, Donald Ray Branch (Phyllis) of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Christi (Casey), Justin, Tarra, Josh, Melanie, Ty, Derek, Holly (Brian); great-grandchildren, Kiara, Emery, Madilyn.
