Charlie "Cj" Jefferson Hedrick

Charlie “CJ” Jefferson Hedrick, age 90, of Lexington passed away Monday evening, December 11, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center.   Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 15, 2017 at Memorial Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lexington with the Revs. Trudy Irving and Bill Sosebee officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the service.   Charlie was born in Davidson County on July 18, 1927 to Thurman Lee Hedrick, Sr. and Letha Beck Hedrick.  He was a hard worker who owned and operated a saw mill and was  also a farmer.  He proudly served our country in the US Army.  Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Harold Hedrick, Dwight Hedrick, Sr., Paul Hedrick, T.L. Hedrick, Jr., Hoyle Hedrick and Odell Hedrick.   Surviving is his loving wife, Sarah Everhart Hedrick, of the home; daughters Glenda H. Parks (Steven) , Gaye H. Latham (Steve), and  Gisele H. Comer (Butch); sister, Helen Wilson; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
