Charlie Ray Deese

Charlie Ray Deese, age 76, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Trellis Supportive Care of Winston Salem with family by his side.

A celebration of life will be 11 am, July 27, 2019 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, Hickory Tree Road, Winston Salem, NC. Family will receive family and friends after the service.

Mr. Deese was born October 20, 1942 in Robeson County to Ella Mae Deese. Charlie was a retired truck driver for Frito-Lay. He is preceded in death by his Mother and Sisters; Vivian Altman, Sheila Locklear and son, Brian Ray Deese.

One of Charlie’s biggest delights in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh that was evident to everyone who had the honor of knowing him. To many, Charlie will be remembered as the “chip man”, from his years at Frito-Lay where he retired. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed

Surviving are his daughter; Dana Hasty (Dameian), sisters Doris Freeman (Frank), Jo Carolyn Deese, two grandchildren; Cameron Roark and Rayleigh Deese and a host of nieces and nephews.
