Charlie Carroll Johnson

Charlie Carroll Johnson, age 66 of Statesville Road, North Wilkesboro passed away Saturday morning February 25, 2017 at home. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 2, 2017 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday night. Charlie was born in Wilkes County, April 5, 1950 to Garvis Hugh Johnson and Inez Welborn Johnson. He was a former machinist with Lacy Miller and worked 10 years with Cutting Systems, Inc. in North Wilkesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Katherine Goodman Johnson in 2015. Surviving are his sons, Dale Kearns (Amy) of Lexington, Michael Jordan (Robin) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Travis Lee Jordan (Kelly) and Tameka Danielle Faust (Michael); great-grandson, Nathaniel Jordan; sister, Anita Dorsett of Hamptonville; brothers, Dean Johnson (Dawn) of Kernersville and Curtis Johnson (Linda) of Lexington; special Aunt, Mary Johnson; close friend and caregiver, Joanne Somers.
