Charlie Kenneth Munday, 73 of Lexington, died Tuesday August 26, 2014 at his home in Lexington.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Everhart Jr. officiating services. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home, and at other times at the home.
Mr. Munday was born February12, 1941 in Davie County to Floyd Monroe Munday and Florence Orrell Munday. He was retired from Superior Wood Products and attended Harvest Worship Center. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a daughter Tammy Munday and a brother Billy Munday.
Surviving are a son Russell Munday and wife Sharon; daughter Lorrain Rummage and husband Todd; a sister Nancy Brooks and husband Butch, his companion of 38 years, Lockie Crowder; two step daughters Robin Lackey and husband Rusty and Kim Swicegood and husband Dale all of Lexington; six grandchildren; Michael Rummage and wife Jessica, Ryne Rummage and wife Brittany, Brody Munday, Ellen Lackey, Samantha Lackey and Matthew Swicegood, all of Lexington, and one great-grandchild Asher Rummage.
