Charlie Pyle

Charles Nelson Pyle, 38, of Lexington, died Sunday, June 28, 2015. A private service will be held. Charlie was born December 13, 1976 in Moore County to Roger Lynn Pyle and Jolene Ann Nelson Pyle. A native of Mt. Airy, he was a graduate of the NC School of Science and Math and a graduate of UNC-CH, with a degree in Biology and a minor in Art. Charlie also studied abroad at the University of Ulster in Belfast, where he fostered his love of Ireland. He was a caring and devoted father, who put others needs before his own. He loved animals and the outdoors. He was an employee of Desena Commercial Services in Mt. Airy. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Wall Pyle; his daughters, Caroline Ruth Pyle, Charlotte Jane Pyle, and Catherine Lillie “Cate” Pyle; his parents of Hickory; and his sister, Elizabeth Anne Welty of Winston Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Charles Nelson Pyle “CCC” Educational Trust, 9 Hege Drive, Lexington NC 27292. Friends may call on the family at the home of Jane and Will Blackerby.
