Charlotte Payne Beckerdite

Charlotte Marie Payne Beckerdite, aged 95, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living. A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 3 pm on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Canaan United Methodist Church, presided over by Rev. Jay Bowers. Following the service, friends and family are invited to join in a visitation.

Charlotte was born on February 27, 1928, in Davidson County, NC, to the late Arthur Payne and Maggie Sink Payne. She dedicated her professional life to the world of antiques as a dealer and contributed to the community as a devoted member of Canaan United Methodist Church.

In addition to her illustrious career and community involvement, Charlotte found immense joy in her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, L. C. Beckerdite, Jr.

Left to cherish the beautiful memories they shared with her are her son, Luke Beckerdite, and his wife Peggy; her daughter, Ann Hartman, and her husband Mark; as well as her adored grandchildren, Adam (Stacey), Abby, and Aaron (Kelsey).

The family extends their gratitude to all those who have shared in Charlotte's life and invites friends and well-wishers to join them in remembering and celebrating her legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Sweet Dreams Bed Ministry at Canaan United Methodist Church in Charlotte's honor.
