Chester Carlton Burrow, 85, of David Smith Road died Monday, March 26, 2007, at his home.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Midway United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John C. Woods Jr. and the Rev. Arkin Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Burrow was born Nov. 20, 1921, in Stokes County to Chester and Lottie Smith Burrow. He was retired from AT&T. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Sink Burrow. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Burrow and Gary Burrow and wife Kathy, all of Midway; two brothers, Joe Burrow and wife Tessie of Midway and Raeford Burrow and wife Norma Jean of Walnut Cove; a sister, Roxie Tesh of Arcadia; a sister-in-law, Doris Burrow of Yadkin College; four grandchildren, Scotty Burrow and wife Sherry, Linda Leonard and husband Grayson, Jason Burrow and wife Chassidy and Jonathon Burrow and wife Valarie; four great-grandchildren, Christine Burrow, Cody Burrow, Christopher Leonard and Thomas Burrow.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.
