Christine Mitchell Bishop

Christine Mitchell Bishop, age 89, of Island View Drive, Linwood passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Hinkle Hospice House.  Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens in Raleigh with Rev. Myron Yandle officiating.  Burial will follow.   There will be no public visitation.   Christine was born in Durham County, NC August 10, 1922 to Archie Mitchell and Rosa Elizabeth Everette Mitchell.  She was a retired employee of Austin Food and was a member of Morrisville Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Henry Bishop.   Surviving are; one daughter, Sandra Spry and husband George of Linwood; two sons, William Henry Bishop, Jr. and friend Grace of Garner, NC; Rex Wilbert Bishop and wife Betty of Middlesex, NC; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters and five brothers.     Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
