Christine Ryder Rowe

Christine Ryder Rowe, age 83, of Moore Drive, Lexington passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Lexington Medical Center.   Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis Johns and Rev. Doug Rowe officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 12:30 until 2:00 pm prior to the service and at other times at their respective homes.   Christine was born in Banks County, GA January 25, 1929 to Marvin George Ryder and Addie Dale Ryder.  She was a retired employee of Sealy Mattress and a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth H. Rowe in 1991; sister, Lucille Allen; brothers, Odis and Tommy Ryder.   Surviving are; daughter, Cynthia Rowe Hunt of Lexington; son, Rev. Doug Rowe and wife Lynn of Lexington; grandsons, Ben Rowe and wife Ann, Jake Rowe and wife Mary, Ken Hunt, Chris Hunt and wife Pam and Robbie Hunt; 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Yates and husband Herbert of Thomasville, Bernice Leonard and husband Coney of Lexington, Hazel VunCannon and husband Wayne of Troy; sister-in-laws, Shirley Ryder and Linda McDaniel.   In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, 1306 South Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292 or to donors favorite charity.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
