Christopher Wayne Long, 35, of Horseshoe Neck Rd. Lexington died Wednesday April 5, 2006 in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center from injures received in a motorcycle accident
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Fundamental Baptist Tabernacle Church, 1357 Swicegood Rd., Lexington by Rev. Noah Frye; Rev. Chris Lanning and Rev. Michael Greer. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park
Mr. Long was born in Davidson County on May 23, 1970 to Virgil Wayne Long and Joyce Hartman Long. He was the owner and operator of Bonafied Southern Cycles in Lexington and a member of First Baptist Church of Welcome.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Frye Long of the home; a son, Josh Gentle and wife Amber of Lexington; a daughter, Julia Spivey and husband Tim of Lexington; a grandchild, Bayden Spivey; his father, Virgil Wayne Long of Yadkinville; his mother and step-father, Joyce H. Edwards and Harold Edwards of Winston Salem; a brother, Lonnie Long of Winston Salem; a step-brother, Kevin Edwards of Winston Salem; his grandmother, Marie Hartman of Lexington; his great grandmother, Eva Queen of Lexington; his father and mother in law, Rev. & Mrs. Noah Frye; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 TO 8:30 pm Friday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMEand other times at the home 5295 Horseshoe Neck Rd., Lexington.
