Christy Ann Walser Smith, 41, of Captain Drive, died Friday at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, September 9 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Joe Freeman and Ralph Newton. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith was born February 12, 1974 in Davidson County to Jimmy Glenn Walser, Sr. and Wanda Phillips Walser. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Keith Smith, Sr. of the home; her sons, Owen Zachary Smith and Andrew Keith Smith, Jr. of the home; her step-daughter, Destiny Faith Myers; her parents, Jimmy and Wanda Walser of Lexington; her brother, Jimmy Glenn Walser, Jr. (Monica) of Concord, her nephew, Ryan Walser, and her mother-in-law, Betty Newton Perry (Bill) of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
