Clara Mae Mcbride Thomas

Mrs. Clara Mae McBride Thomas, 64, of Knollwood Drive, Archdale, died Monday, July 12 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 16, at the Thomasville Church of God, where she was a member, with the Revs. Ken Barnett, Avon Craven, and Rodney Merrill officiating. She was born November 15, 1944 in Davidson County to Robert Lee McBride and Lovie Rycroft McBride. She was a former employee of Towel City Distributors in Kannapolis. She was a Church of God Home for Children house parent for 15 years in Concord, and was a prayer mother and member of the Women’s ministry at her church. Her four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Troy Allen Thomas of the home; her daughters, Tonda Thomas Burden of Lexington, and Treva Thomas Motley of Concord; her brother, Russell McBride of Lexington; her twin sister, Fay Conrad of Thomasville, and Carolyn Dodson of Lumberton; her grandchildren, Luke Motley, and Asa Motley; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington, and other times at the home.
