Rev. Clarence Thomas Ballew, 83, of Turner Road, died Friday, January 13, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Wooten and Rev. Marvin Carson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. There will be a public viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2012, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Rev. Ballew was born June 21, 1928, in Swain County, to John Howard Ballew and Ester Hyatt Ballew. He was a Freewill Baptist Preacher.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Sutton Ballew of the home; son, Wayne Ballew and wife, Pat, of Lexington; daughter, Wanda Lookabill and husband, Tony, of Lexington; grandchildren, T.J. Lookabill and Travis Ballew, both of Lexington; and great-grandchildren, Blake Lookabill and Caitlin Lookabill, both of Lexington.
