Clarence "Roy" South

Clarence “Roy” South of Lexington NC passed away Wednesday, December 7 ^th , 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, December 10 ^th , 2022, at New Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Byrne officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Roy was born March the 27 ^th 1952 in Wilkes County NC to Clarence Ray South and Inez Roten South.

He was retired from RJR and served as a deacon at New Friendship Baptist Church, Served on the Board of Directors Baptist State Convention, he loved Gardening, ALL animals, coaching basketball, his precious daughters and grandchildren. He also enjoyed the many mission trips he got to take.

He is preceded in death by his father and brother Randy Clyde South.

Surviving are his wife Gloria Jarvis South of the Home, daughters; Jaime Davies, Julie Robinson, grandchildren; Nathan Davies, Emily Davies, Ava Robinson, mother; Inez Roten South,

brother; Lennie Daryl South (Lisa).
