Clarence Edwin Turner

Clarence Edwin Turner 84 of Lexington passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 12, 2016 First Baptist Church of Welcome with Pastors Mark Blair and Jonathan Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Clarence was born in Florence, SC on March 8, 1931 to Herbert Lee Turner and Asylee Poston Turner. He retired from Lucent and served in the US Navy. Clarence was a member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clyde, Hansel and Winston Turner; sisters, Maxine Keefe and Rosene Guy. Surviving are his wife Blondell Wise Turner of the home; sons, Randy Turner (Kristen) of Lexington, Eddie Turner of New York; daughter, Christy Turner (fiancé, Greg Waddell) of Lexington; one grandchild, Joy Turner (spouse Amy Armstrong) one great-grandchild, Alysa.
