Clarke Corner

Clarke Conley Corner, 75, of Bethesda Road, Lexington went home to be with his Lord and Savior  Saturday January 13, 2018 at his home.    A celebration of his life will be 3:00 pm January 27, 2018 at Higher Ground Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jimmy Greene.  There is no stated visitation, however, family and friends may call at any time at the home.     Mr. Corner was born May 23, 1942 in  McDowell County, W. Va. To Willie and Iva Wiley Corner. He graduated from Athens High School in Athens, WV and retired from Interstate Breads and The Sugarloaf Companies. His parents  and a brother, Donald Corner preceded him in death.   Surviving are his loving wife, Betty Meadows Corner of the home; a son, Tony Corner and his wife, Fleta; his grandchildren, Robert, Monica and Jason; his great-grandchildren,  Harleigh, Craig, Nevaeh, Justin and Macie; his brother, Willie Corner and his wife, Pam of Memphis, TN;his several nieces and nephews,  his loving brother in law, Dale Meadows and a sister in law, Faye White, both of Cleveland Ohio.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292 or to Higher Ground Baptist Church,  1351 Lamb Road, Lexington, NC 27295.   The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Davidson County  for the exceptional care they gave Clarke along with their love.
