Clate Milliam, 83, of John Snider Road, died Tuesday, March 04, 2008, at his home. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Ken Norman and Herman Powell. Burial will follow at Paul’s Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Milliam was born July 10, 1924, in Wilkes County, to Charles Milliam and Molly Sheets Milliam. He was of the holiness faith and attended Heavens Gate Church. Mr. Milliam was married to Peggy Ann Thomason Milliam who survives of the home. Also surviving are sons, Charles Mickey Milliam of Tennessee; stepsons, Donald James Link and William Glen “Bill” Link, both of Welcome; stepdaughter, Johnie Ann White and husband, George; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Hobart Milliam and wife, Mildred, and Clifford Milliam and wife, Carrie, all of High Point; and sister, Ella Johnson of High Point. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
