Claude Thomas Byerly

Claude Thomas Byerly, 87, of West Avenue, died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Davidson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Carl Sutton and John T. Byerly officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Byerly was born July 6, 1928, in Davidson County, to John Henry Byerly and Lula Klass Byerly. He was a pastor and a self-employed furniture repair specialist. He was a member of Testimonial Baptist Church of Thomasville. Surviving are his loving wife Nancy C. Byerly of the home; son, John T. Byerly of Walnut Cove; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
