Claude Herman Dix, Sr.

Claude Herman Dix, Sr. 80, formerly of Moose Lodge Road died Saturday; April 1, 2006; at his home after an illness of several years. Mr. Dix was born May 20th, 1925 in Caswell County to James Warren Sr. and Carrie Sylvester Dix. He was a retired sander with Thomasville Furniture Industries and a member of Midway Baptist Church. Mr. Dix was preceded in death by his wife Dorcas Leigh Everhart Dix and a sister Mary Dix. Surviving are sons Claude Herman Dix of the Phillipines and Timothy Lee Dix of Walnut Cove; daughters, Joyce Marie Teague; Debra Ann Trexler; and Carrie Elizabeth Owens all of Lexington. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Tuesday (04/04/2006) at 2:00PM in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Cecil Worley. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will recieve friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Monday at the funeral home.
