Claudia Rapier

Claudia Lanier Rapier, age 59 , of Welcome-Bethesda Road, died Friday May 4, 2012 at her home after an illness of 10 years. A funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday May 7, 2012 at Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. John Beeg officiating services. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel. Mrs. Rapier was born October 14, 1952 in Davidson County to John Claude “JC” Lanier and Ruby Beck Lanier. She was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and a retired Teacher with The Davidson County School System having taught at Southwood Elementary School for numerous years. Mrs. Rapier was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her husband Gregory Stephen Rapier of the home; two daughters, Ashley Rapier of Concord, North Carolina and Jennifer Richardson and husband, Shawn, of Welcome; and one grand-daughter, Carson Richardson.
