Clayton Hedrick

Clayton Eugene Hedrick, 85, of New Bowers Road, died Monday, June 01, 2015, at his home. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Fairview United Methodist Church with the Revs. Sandy Young and Chip Webb officiating. Burial with military graveside rites by Davidson County Honor Guard will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Hedrick was born October 3, 1929, in Davidson County, to Carl Edgar Hedrick and Viola Everhart Hedrick. He was a retired truck driver for Link Taylor and served in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of VFW Post 3074. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Hedrick Hedrick, who died August 8, 2000; and brothers, Clyde Hedrick, Carl Hedrick Jr., Charlie Hedrick and Ralph Hedrick. Surviving are daughters, Lisa Grondy and husband Bud of Lexington and Cheryl Hedrick of the home; grandchildren, Katie Grondy and Maggie Grondy; brother, Tommy Hedrick of Welcome; and sister, Nancy Walker of Interlachen, Fl.
