Clayton Leonard

Clayton Thomas Leonard, 58, of Lexington left his earthly home on Friday, June 30, 2023, to be with his Lord and Savior. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday, July 5 at Davidson Funeral Home. A private graveside will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery. Clayton was born on December 23, 1964, in Davidson County to Donald Eugene Leonard and Nancy Lee Cope Leonard. He attended Coggins Baptist Church and worked as a machine operator and served in the United States Army National Guard. Clayton had several hobbies that included hunting, fishing, and playing a good game of cards, but what brought him the most enjoyment was spending time with his family at their house in the mountains. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and uncle who will be greatly missed but forever in our hearts. Clayton was preceded in death by a niece, Leigh Ann Leonard. Surviving is his wife, Ginger Dennis Leonard, of the home; his father, Donald and mother, Nancy; son, Trevor Leonard; brothers, Everett Leonard (Kristy), Craig Leonard (Dode); sister, Connie Raines (Tom); nieces, Megan and Paige; nephews, Matthew, Jon, JC, Cameron, and Thomas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
