Cletus Jasper Palmer, age 87, of Frankie Street, Lexington passed away Sunday (Dec. 4, 2011) at Hinkle Hospice House.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday (Dec. 7, 2011) in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Dr. William B. Shrout, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday and at other times at the home of his son Donnie Palmer, 765 Jerusalem Road, Lexington.
Cletus was born in Davidson County, July 20, 1924 to Clyde Palmer and Rebecca Tysinger Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clatie Potts Palmer in 2005; son, Rodney Palmer in 2009; sisters, Vernice Coppley, Sylvin Robbins and Helen Miller and a brother, Robert Palmer.
Surviving are; his son, Donald (Donnie) Palmer and wife Patricia Hedrick Palmer of Lexington; grandchildren, Wendy Palmer, Roddy Palmer and wife Tammy all of Lexington;Wesley Palmer and Jeffrey Palmer both of Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Harley Palmer and Sheree Bailey; daughter in law, Sedena Palmer of Lexington.
