Clifford Michael Jones

Mr. Clifford Jones, 59, of Lexington died Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 to 3 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home of his parents on Arcadia Lane. Mr. Jones was born November 10, 1954, in Swain County, to Samuel Harold Jones and Kathleen Wiggins Jones. He was a retired cabinet builder at Lexington Home Brands and a member of the NRA. Surviving are his son, Daniel Jones of Lexington; daughter, Valerie Mangum and husband Rob of Mebane; stepdaughter, Kelly Crim and husband Jake of Lexington; five grandchildren, Colton Mangum, Caitlin Mangum, Olivia Crim, Victoria Crim and Isabella Crim; his parents of Lexington; brothers, Clayton Jones and wife Ethel of Anson and Dexter Jones and wife Yvonne of Lexington; and sister, Elaine Moody and husband Harold of Lexington.
