Clinton William Remsburg, 91, of Davidson County, passed away Thursday evening at his home.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. Ed Kelaher officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Clinton was born on January 30, 1932, in Fredrick County, Maryland, to the late Roger Albert Remsburg and Mary Norris Remsburg. He proudly served his country in the Army as a paratrooper, and while in the military worked in subarctic training on equipment in Alaska. He then went on to work for American General and retired as a loan officer.
Clinton was known for his love and talent for cooking. He enjoyed cooking for others and instilled a love for the craft in all the men in his family. Clinton also enjoyed working in his flowerbeds and vegetable garden and could create beautiful flower arrangements as well as grapevine wreaths and baskets.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Remsburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Remsburg and Shelva, Albert Remsburg and Viola, Joseph Remsburg and Myrtle, Donald Remsburg and Eva, and Garland Remsburg; and sister and brother-in-law, Marybelle Gutenmann and Walter.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Shirley Talbott Remsburg, of the home; son, Terryle Remsburg and wife Dawn, of Randleman; daughter, Mignon White and husband Charles, of Duncan SC; four grandchildren, Jordan White, Taylor White, Caroline Remsburg, and Elizabeth Remsburg; one brother Richard Remsburg and wife Rose Remsburg, of DE; and one sister in-law, Ruth Remsburg, of MD.
