Clyde Samuel Billings, age 83, of Southview Road, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 12, 2015 at Central Baptist Church on Highway 47 with The Rev. Jeff Perdue officiating. Burial will follow in the Cotton Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday prior to the service and other times at the home of his daughter, Penny Leonard.
Mr. Billings was born on June 26, 1932 in Davidson County to BK and Annie Billings. He was retired from Mickey Body Shop where he was a supervisor and was of Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Billings; three brothers, Lindsey, Elmer, and Roy Billings; and four sisters, Marie Billings, Lillie Cooper, Blanche Lanning, and Ruth McElrath.
Those dearly loved by Clyde who will miss him the most are his daughter Penny, wife of Doug Leonard, who loved him with all her heart; a grandson Dustin, who he loved dearly; Janet Money, wife of Gene Money, who was like a daughter; and Donna M. Scarlett and Kristi M. Houser, who were like granddaughters; and five precious great grandchildren, Madison, Abby, Seth, Josiah, and Marianne, who he loved with all his heart. He also loved all his nieces and nephews and their families very much.
