Clyde Ronald Eaton

Clyde Ronald Eaton, 81, of Harkey Street, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at High Point Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lexington City Cemetery by the Rev. Tommy Hepler. Randolph Memorial Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Mr. Eaton was born April 21, 1926, in Guilford County to Byron Eaton and Mary McCarn Eaton. He was retired from Manhattan Shirt Co., and he was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was of the Baptist faith. His second wife, Betty Ann McBride, and a sister, Margaret Payne, preceded him in death. Surviving are his ex-wife, Lucille K. Eaton of the home; four sons, Roger Dale Eaton and his wife, Teresa, of Jacksonville, Fla., Ronald Dean Eaton and his wife, Donna, of Lexington, James Sherwood Lincourt and his wife, Jayne, of Greensboro, Robert Lee Eaton of Trinity; two daughters, Susan Diane Stout of Lexington and Brenda Kaye Schreader and her husband, Bill, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Vera Macemore of Lexington; a niece, Ruby Byrd and her husband, Kent, of Sun City Ariz.; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The family will see friends at other times at the home on Harkey Street, Lexington.
