Clyde Louise Hill, 93 of Craver Road passed away at her home Thursday, February 5, 2009. A funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM, February 9, 2009 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. Wes Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hill was born August 30, 1915 in Randolph County to Lum Hicks and Lillie Lassister Hicks. She retired from High Point Paper Box. She was of Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband George Franklin Hill, an infant son George David Hill, a daughter Margie Marion, and three brothers; Jack Hicks, James Hicks and Buddy Hicks; one sister Hazel Coltrane.
Surviving are two sons; Robert Hill and his wife Mildred of Trinity, Billy Hill and his wife Linda of Thomasville, two daughters; Peggy Hill Brown and her husband R.L. of Lexington, and Ruby Johnson and her husband Dan of Thomasville; one brother Paul Hicks of Archdale; one sister Eva Bare of High Point; fifteen grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren and twenty-five great great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
