Winston-Salem, NC Clyde Edward Price Jr., known as "Fast Eddie", beloved father, esteemed engine
builder, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the age of 70.
Born on Monday, October 25, 1954, Clyde lived a life filled with high-speed adventures, devoted family
moments, and dedicated service to his country.


Clyde was the cherished son of the late Clyde Price and Dorthy Price, whose loving guidance shaped
him into the remarkable man he became. Growing up with a passion for cars and speed, Clyde pursued a
career as a Engine Builder. He was a engine builder for Beal Racing, where he built a legacy of
excellence. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Lisa Gibbs Price, sons James
Price (Kristin), Jason Price, Kevin Keesee, brother, Monty Price, sisters, Rita Holton (Robert), Alician
Helbert, seven grandchildren; Brendan, Alisha, Hannah, Lucas, Phillip, Willow, Axel, nephew, Matthew Price, niece, Racheal Price, and his best
friends; Paul Tilley Jr., and Paul "Tub" Tilley.


In addition to his accomplishments, Clyde proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. His
time in the military instilled in him a sense of discipline and honor that he carried throughout his life.


Clyde was a resident of Winston-Salem, NC, where he made countless friendships and impacted the
hearts of many with his vibrant spirit and generous heart. His community will remember him as a
humble and passionate individual who lived life to the fullest.


A celabration of life will be Saturday, April 19, 2025, visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00
pm, at Davidson Funeral Home, 858 Hickory Tree Road, Winston-Salem, NC.


Clyde Edward Price Jr. will be remembered as a roaring engine of warmth and high spirits, a loving son,
and a true American hero. He may have crossed his final finish line, but his legacy will forever race on
in our hearts.
