Clydene Barnes

February 15, 1936 — March 9, 2007

Leota Clydene West Barnes, 71, of Fern Creek Drive, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Freedom Baptist Church by the Revs. Clyde Akers and David Robinson. Burial will be at St. Matthews Lutheran Church on Davie Academy Road. Mrs. Barnes was born Feb. 15, 1936, to Clyde Nickolson West and Hazel Leota Jones West. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Sue Robbins. Surviving are her husband, Robert Frank Barnes of the home; two sons, Larry Dean Robbins and his fiancee, Tami Collins, and Charles Randy Robbins and his wife, Crystal, all of Lexington; three daughters, Sarah "Buzz" Robbins Spaugh and her husband, Paul, of Advance, and Kathy Darlene Robbins Hedrick Reed and her fiance, Kerry Chambers, and Angela Robbins Hayes, all of Lexington; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five brothers, Joe Henry West, Melvin Bullabough and Kenneth Wilbert Bullabough, all of Lexington, Samuel Luther West of Walkertown and Ricky Dale Bullabough of Thomasville; and two sisters, Bobbi Jean Jones and Linda Lou West King, both of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Charles Randy Robbins.
