Coleen Gaither Hunt

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Coleen Gaither Hunt, who peacefully departed this world on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on Thursday, October 23rd, 1946, in Davie County, NC, Coleen was a cherished resident of Winston-Salem, NC, where she spent much of her life surrounded by family and friends.

Coleen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Winfred Charles Hunt, and her parents, Lemuel Gaither and Catherine Gaither. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Christ Hunt (Melisa), her stepsons, Michael Hunt (Crystal) and Jonathan Hunt (Dora). She also leaves behind her siblings: brothers Robert Gaither, Tony Gaither, and Eugene Gaither, sisters Ruby "Irene" Durham, Nellie Bonist, Rachel Gaither,Hillary "Elaine" Richardson, and Faye Gaither, and her cherished 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Coleen was a dedicated employee at PPG in Lexington, NC. Her commitment and work ethic were highly regarded by her colleagues and community.

A woman of faith, Coleen found immense joy in her love for singing, especially during church services. Her voice was a treasured part of the worship at Our Father's House Ministries, where she was also a devoted volunteer, always ready to lend a helping hand and share her positive spirit.

Coleen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith will forever be remembered.

Arrangements for Coleen Hunt have been entrusted to Davidson Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Coleen are invited to celebrate her life and commemorate her legacy.
