Colleen Curry

Colleen Walser Curry, 89, of West U.S. Highway 64, died Sunday, August 29 at Forsyth Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 2pm Wednesday, September 1st at Meadowview Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Pablo Ayllon. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Curry was born on March 6, 1932 in Davidson County to John Lloyd and Lucille Rummage Walser. She retired from Dixie Furniture after 40 years and was a member of Meadowview Presbyterian Church. Colleen enjoyed cooking for her family and making cakes. She loved everyone she met and especially loved her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, sister and grandmother and will be held forever in our hearts. Mrs. Curry was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Don Franklin Curry and her brothers, John Lloyd ‘Rabbit’ Walser, Jr. and Awbrey Walser.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Rice and husband Steve and Karen Trogdon and husband Steve, all of Lexington; two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dorcas Seaford.
