Colleen Prevettte

Colleen Williams Prevette, 92, of Hege Drive, died Tuesday, March 7, at Hinkle Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 11 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Joe Barbee. Inurnment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Prevette was born May 6, 1930 in Iredell County to Floyd and Leona Jenkins Williams. She retired from Manhattan Shirt Factory and was a member of Wesley Height United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Harvey Prevette, and her brother and sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Jane Prevette Blackerby (Bill), of Lexington; her sons, Jimmy Prevette (Ann), and Mark Prevette, both of Lexington; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
