Colon Eugene Welch

Colon Eugene Welch age 80 passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 21st at Hebron United Church of Christ the Rev. David Carter officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, February 20th at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Mr. Welch was born in Davidson County on June 25, 1932 to Hobart Claxton Welch and Sue Nifong Welch. He was retired from Bahnson Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers and one sister Surviving are one son, Del Eugene Welch and wife Tessy of Mocksville, three daughters, Loretta Cabe and husband Ray of Linwood, Rita Craver and husband Hoy, Sr. of Spencer, VA. Ronda Bracken of Lexington; three brothers, WB Welch and wife Earline of Winston-Salem, Claxton Welch and wife Billie of Charlotte, JayVan Welch and wife Natalie of Lexington; two sisters, Leona Fishel and husband RJ of Clemmons and Maxine Tesh; eight grandchildren; Michael Hill, Tiffany Hill Younts and husband Brian, Chris Bracken, Jessica Welch, Jade Welch, Hoy Craver, Jr., Paul Craver and wife Tracey and nine great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 101 Centreport Drive, Greensboro, NC 27409. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
