Colton Edward Johnson

Colton Edward Johnson, age 22 of Mt. Carmel Church Road, Lexington passed away Tuesday. Funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. Huey Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday and at other times at the home of Brandi Hamby, 137 Easter Circle, Lexington. Colton was born in Davidson County July 20, 1990 to Michael Edward Johnson and Mary Lou Church. He was a former employee of United Furniture and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Layla Johnson; grandfather, Ernest M. Church, Sr. and step-grandfather, Herman “Chub” Wilson. Surviving are; his daughter, Selena Penaloza; mother, Mary Lou Church (Tony Tysinger); brother, Cody E. Johnson (Brooklynn Hilliard); grandmother, Yvonne Byrd Wilson; nephew, Camdin Johnson; girlfriend, Allison Hailey and her brother, Josh DeBusk; step-brother and sister, Dylan and Hannah Tysinger; other family members, April and Brandi Hamby, Eric, Ernest M.
