Constance Sue (Connie) Kutkuhn Bird, 64 of Monroe, NC died unexpectedly September 19, 2014.
A Memorial Service will be held on October 25 at Currytown Baptist Church, Hwy 150N, Lexington, NC 27295.
Born on February 19, 1950 in Fort Collins, CO. Connie was wife to Joel A. Bird, who also passed away with her unexpectedly. They both are new angels at the feet of the Lord. Connie was a free spirit who loved life, her family and friends, animals and nature. She traveled the country for a living and shared through her amazing pictures her love for our country’s beautiful sites. With her love of the beach and more so of the mountains, North Carolina was her home that she shared with her husband. Connie also had a love for music and the multi-genre’s she enjoyed were astounding.
Connie is survived by family and friends, her son, Joseph McCumbee (wife, Michelle) of Lexington, NC; Bobbie J. Kutkuhn (Mother) of Grayling, MI; four siblings, Michael G. Kutkuhn (wife, Bonnie) of New Bern, NC, Jacqueline J. Kutkuhn-Torres (husband, Ramón) of Ann Arbor, MI, Holly A. Cooper (husband, Mark) of Clayton, NC, and Kenneth D. Kutkuhn (wife, Andrea) of Sterling, VA. Connie is also survived by six nieces and a nephew as well as four great nieces and two great nephews, many cousins and her closest friend throughout her life Amy Ridgeway of Manteo, NC. Connie was preceded in death by her father, the late Joseph H. Kutkuhn.
