Coralee Burrell Bowers

Coralee Burrell Bowers, 86, of Westover Drive, died Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Pine Ridge Nursing Center in Thomasville. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2012, at First Lutheran Church, where she was a member, with Pastor Matthew Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Bowers was born July 18, 1926, in Danville, Va., to Fred Silas Burrell and Mable Long Burrell. She was a retired Cafeteria Manager for Lexington City Schools. Surviving are her loving husband, George William Bowers of the home; daughters, Nancy Beck and Patti Grant, both of Lexington; grandchildren, Kelly Mavropoulos and husband, Dimitri of Kannapolis, Ashley Morgan and husband, Dan, of Durham, Matthew Grant of Charlotte, Cassie Hassan of Lexington; great-grandchildren, Colby Mavropoulos, Camden Mavropoulos, both of Kannapolis, Maryem Hassan of Lexington, Macie Morgan and Madison Morgan, both of Durham; and sisters, Brenda Hash, Margie Warren, both of Danville Va, and Mildred Price of Kannapolis.
