Cordy Alice Rector Connor

Cordy Alice Rector Connor, age 94 of Winston Salem, passed away Thursday morning January 21, 2021 at Lexington Health Care in Lexington.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Andrea Bates. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be limits to follow as no more than 50 people maybe in the building at one time and must wear a mask and use social distancing of 6 feet.

Cordy was born in Yancey County, February 26, 1926 to Blite Minter Rector and Bertha Leanos Jones Rector. She was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and was a retired switch board operator with NC Baptist Hospital. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Alvoid Rector and Hugh Rector and her four sisters, Velvie Ketcham, Elsie McDaniel, Ruth Anderson, Cartha Gaye.

Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Flossie Nolan of Hickory, NC her nieces and nephews, Scott & Joel Ketcham, Karen Miller, Sherry Piotti, Gary Nolan, Carol Hildebrand, and Leonard Anderson, as well as several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church 641 Critcher Dr., Welcome (P.O. Box 1119, Welcome, NC 27374)
