Cornelia Washburn Dennis

Cornelia Dennis, age 93 died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Brian Center Nursing Home formerly of Bethesda Rd., Lexington. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 2, 2009 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in North Lexington Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Dennis was born October 28, 1915 in Peekskill, NY to Leon Washburn and Adelaide Brewer Washburn. A homemaker, she was a member of North Lexington Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Robert Dennis, Jr. of Lexington, a son, Paul Katabian and wife, Ann of Virginia Beach, step-daughters, Shirley Floyd and husband, Dr. Robert Floyd of Lexington,and Linda Porter; grandchildren, George Katabian and wife, Perry, Marcus Katabian and wife, Summer all of Virginia, and great grandchildren, Andrew William Katabian and Kristopher Katabian of Virginia Beach The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the funeral home just prior to the service, and other times at the home on Bethesda Rd.
