Courtney Alexandra Sanchelli, 29, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist in Winston Salem. The most heartbreaking part of being a parent is losing a child. Our beautiful and beloved angel Courtney Alexandra passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family.
We will be opening the doors to our home to celebrate her life this coming Sunday November 9, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM. All who love Courtney are welcome to join us.
Courtney was born July 8, 1996, in Denville, New Jersey to Michael John and Deborah Culp Sanchelli. She touched more people’s lives than she ever knew and displayed courage and determination in everything life threw at her. Her infectious smile and beautiful spirit were displayed every day. Her love of life and her sassy attitude will be greatly missed and will also stay with us as we honor her every day of our lives. She loved cooking, crafting, horses, Sailor Moon, the Miami Dolphins, being on the water, and her family.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Poppy Bear and Grandma Bear Culp, Poppy Joe and Grandma Ruth Sanchelli
Along with her parents, she is survived by her brothers; Brett Sanchelli, his wife Courtney Jo, and Matthew Libert, her niece Carmen Jo Sanchelli, and nephew, Michael James Sanchelli, her uncle Stan Culp, her bff Brandi Caruso, her nurse Sandra Furrow and numerous other aunts and uncles.
We pray that her pain is now gone and she is resting peacefully.
