Cpl. Kenneth Joshua "Josh" Morris, 20, of Allred Road, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Bill Bauguess. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park with full military honors. Cpl. Morris was born April 3, 1986, in Davidson County to Kenneth E. Morris and Kimberly Barton. After graduating from Central Davidson High School in 2004, he enlisted Aug. 16, 2004, with the U.S. Marines Corps, he was curently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He attended Tyro Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother of the home; his father and stepmother, Kenneth E. Morris and his wife, Cheryl, of Lexington; grandparents Mildred and Jim Osborne of Salisbury and Marvel Fields and Kenneth and Helen Morris, all of Lexington; his stepgrandfather, H.C. Fleming of Lexington; two half brothers, Steven and David Morris, both of Lexington; four half sisters, Jessica Crawford, Daphne Morris, Laura Keen and Toni Rae Elliott, all of Lexington; one aunt, Christa Nance, and her husband, Ken, and their son, Chase Burris, of Lexington; and one uncle, Tim Garrison, and cousin, Misty Rae Garrison, of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home on Allred Road and at the home of his father, 147 Junis Drive.
