Crystal Dawn DiBella, age 34, of Lexington passed away on Monday night, December 23, 2019.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Bethesda United Methodist Family Life Center officiated by Pastor Rick LeBaube.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Crystal was born July 24, 1985 in Forsyth County. She was born to Richard Darrell DiBella and Wendy Latham Henderson. Crystal was a devoted Christian and attended Bethesda UMC. She graduated from NDSH in 2003, where she was a member of the marching band, a passion that followed her to Greensboro College, where she was also a band member. Crystal was a 2007 graduate of Greensboro College with a BS in Biology and Minor in Chemistry and Psychology. She went on to attend Wingate University, Class of 2011 receiving her Doctorate in Pharmacy. Her pharmacy career began at Rite Aid in Welcome, NC. She was employed with Omnicare of High Point. She was later employed with CVS during her college years. She made Greensboro her home where she continued to be a Pharmacist for CVS of Guilford County for many years. She was an adventurer of the outdoors and was a member of the Triad Jeep Club. Crystal was diagnosed with cervical cancer in October 2016. This past Summer she completed a 7000 mile Cross County trip in her Jeep and teardrop camper. During which time, she flew back to Greensboro twice for her chemotherapy at Wesley Long Cancer Center. Throughout her journey of life, she has always been a shining light. A precious memory to all she knew and met. Crystal achieved great success and enjoyed every day she was given.
It was Crystal's wish to have her body donated for research and to be used for educational purposes to The Wake Forest School of Medicine Anatomical Resource Clinical Training Center.
Surviving are her loving parents; stepmother, Beverly DiBella; stepfather, Jeff Henderson; sister, Aleshia DiBella; stepbrother, James Preskitt; stepsister, Lauren Preskitt; grandparents, Buddy and Elaine Latham and John and Linda Horton; and devoted friend, Sylvia Coghill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the donor’s choice.
