Curtis Eugene Morrow, 83, of Happy Hill Road, died Thursday, December 22, at Hinkle Hospice House. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Revs. Bill Sosebee and Dr. David Kolb. A private inurnment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. and other times at the home. Mr. Morrow was born October 26, 1933, in Guilford County, to Floyd Avery Morrow and Gracie Bell Flichum Morrow. He was retired from Lexington City School and served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Story Morrow; and brother, Norman T. Morrow. Surviving are son, Greg Morrow of Lexington; daughter, Thadrea Whithrow of Charlotte; sisters, Janet C. Dillard, Lucille Swaim, both of Lexington; sister-in-law, Jeannie Morrow of Lexington; and special friend Genevieve C. Allen.
