Curtis Samuel Norman Sr.

Curtis Samuel Norman Sr. 79, of Cloverdale Road, passed away Monday January 26, 2026, at High Point Medical Center in High Point.

A memorial will be held 4:00 pm Friday February 6, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Rachels officiating services.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Thursday February 5, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mr. Norman was born June 24, 1946, in Davidson County to Rosie Norman. Curtis was a steady presence to those who knew him—kind, dependable, and deeply caring. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone smile, often bringing light and laughter to even the simplest moments. He valued family, friendship, and the time spent with those he loved most. He shared 60 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Barbara, a partnership built on love, loyalty, and devotion.

Curtis especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever. In his free time, he found joy in visiting flea markets and yard sales, always enjoying the hunt for a good bargain and the stories behind each find.

Curtis’s quiet strength, generous heart, and warm humor touched many lives. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

He was preceded in death by his mother; one brother, Henry Johnson; and one sister, Rachel Semones.

Surviving is his wife Barbara Sue Huffman Norman, of the home; two sons, Sammy Norman (Vicki) of Carolina Beach and Brian Norman (Jennifer) of Lexington; one daughter, Angela Norman of Lexington; two brothers, Teddy Johnson (Libby) of Lexington and Tim Johnson of Lexington: 6 grandchildren, Briana, Chaz, Dakota, Blair, Landon and Camden; and 2 great-grandchildren, Parker and Ella.
