Cynthia Jean Franklin Crews age 75 passed away Thursday November 25, 2021 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. A funeral service will be 3:00 pm Wednesday December 1, 2021 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel conducted by Pastor Roscoe Bowden. Entombment will follow. The family will see friends 1 hour prior to the service. Mrs. Crews was born September 21, 1946 in Forsyth County to David Kelly Franklin Sr. and Mary Francis Petree Franklin. Her parents preceded her in death. She retired from The YWCA and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Crews of the home. Her sons: Kenneth Arnold Jr. (Essie) and David Arnold ( Kristen) all of Kernersville. A daughter, Michelle Hamby of Salisbury. Her grandchildren: Felicia, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Ian, Justin, Josh, Lexi, Emma , Lily and Gwendolyn and four great grandchildren. A brother, David Kelly Franklin Jr. (Marty) of Indian Trail and her sister Patricia Throckmorton (Randy) of Walnut Cove. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her beloved Cats, Precious and Blackie.
