Cynthia Rose George

Cynthia Marie Rose George, 51 of Lexington, passed away on May 16, 2021 at Atrium Health of Pineville in Charlotte after an extended illness.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 21 ^st at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Billy Rose and Brittany Mabe speaking.  Visitation with family and friends will be held from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 20 ^th at Davidson Funeral Home.

Cynthia was born on July 11, 1969 in McDowell County, WV to William Howard Rose and Betty Ellen Atwell Rose.  She worked for Brookstone Nursing Home as a CNA/Med Tech and was of the Pentecostal faith.  Cynthia was an advocate for Jason Lively's freedom.  Cynthia was the glue that held our family together.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend and will forever be held in our hearts and memories.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alice and William Rose, Clydie McLaughlin of WV and Al Atwell of WV.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Jeffrey Lynn George, of the home; son, Dakota George; daughters, Brittany Dawn-Marie Mabe (Thomas) and Kaelyn Brianna George; her parents, William Rose of WV and Betty Rose and long-term companion, Tommy Duncan, both of Thomasville; sisters Betty Jo Auville, Billie Jo Lively (Jason); brother Kenneth Rose; “son-in-law” Daniel Bishop; 7 grandchildren, Anabelle, Patrick, Grayson, Samuel, Silas, Adeline and Nathaniel; 4 nieces, Maddy, Kendra, Kaylee and Hannah and 2 great-nieces, Parker and Layla.
