Cynthia Myers Lanier

Cynthia Myers Lanier, 59, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, at The Brian Center of Lexington. A service to celebrate her life will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014, at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Welcome, where she was a member, with Pastor Avery Varnadore officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter on Roy Lopp Road. Ms. Lanier was born March 22, 1955, in Davidson County, to John Kanoy Myers and Sarah Green Myers, who preceded her in death. Cindy graduated from Lexington Senior High School and worked at The Eye Care Group of Lexington. At her church she served as a Sunday school teacher and children’s church leader. Surviving is her daughter, Randi Lanier Marion and her husband William of Lexington; two brothers, John K. Myers Jr. and wife Geryl of Lexington, Tom Myers and wife Nancy of Mobile, Al.; two sisters, Martha Adams and husband Robert of Lexington, Suzanne Andrews and husband John of Charlotte; and many special nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, Children’s ministries, P.O. Box 89, Welcome, NC 27374. The family wishes to thank the staff of The Brian Center and Ms. Lanier’s roommate, Amelia, for the care given during her illness.
