Cynthia Ward Orman

Cynthia Ward Orman, age 54 of Stoney Run Road, Thomasville passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Brunswick Medical Center in Shallotte, after a sudden illness. Funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Lexington Church of Christ with Mr. Robert Goff and Brock Shanks. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Reformed Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 until 3:45 pm prior to the service. Cynthia was born in Davidson County, April 23, 1958 to Dan Ward and Margaret Ward. She was a retired employee of Davidson County Schools, teaching Language Arts and social Studies at Brown Middle School. Her greatest joys in life were serving family and others. She is survived by her husband Dean Nance Orman of the home; daughter Amber Tucker and husband Barry of Thomasville; son, Jed Orman and wife Emily of Trinity; three grandchildren, Ella and Daniel Tucker and Stella Gray Orman, Mother, Margaret Ward of Lexington; brother, Kevin Ward and wife Terri of Thomasville; mother and father-in-law, L.H. and Elaine Orman of Thomasville; sister-in-law Carol Snyder and husband Dennis; brother-in-law, Lester Orman; four nieces and nephews and spouses; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
