Cynthia "Sissy" Ray

Cynthia "Sissy" Davis Ray, 46, of Wilson Lane, died Monday, April 9, 2007, at Thomasville Medical Center. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Doug McGee. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in Salisbury National Cemetery. Mrs. Ray was born May 29, 1960, in Guilford County to Jimmy Edward Davis and Maureen Buchanan Davis. She was a graduate of West Davidson High School and a homemaker. Surviving are her parents; her husband, Mike Lee Ray of the home; three sons, Christopher Gabard and Michael Routh and his wife, Holly, all of Welcome, and Dustin Routh of Linwood; three brothers, Jimmy Davis Jr., Allen Davis and his wife, Missi, and Brian Davis and his wife, Misty; one sister, Sharon Freeman and her husband,Randy; her grandmother, June Patzsh Buchanan; fournieces, Tana Davis, Carmen Davis and Brooke Davis, all of Lexington, and Amber Foster of Greensboro; and seven nephews, Cory Davis, Josh Davis, Taylor Davis, Brandon Davis, Travis Flores and Austin Davis, all of Lexington, and Robbie Freeman of Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church and other times at the home of her brother on Gene Hege Road.
